February 2008 - I just completed all of the paintings for the first book that I BOTH wrote and illustrated called, I'm Your Peanut Butter Big Brother (Knopf).  It is a lyrical story about a biracial child imagining what his soon-to-be born baby sibling will look like.  It is due to come out Spring 2009.  It was the perfect project to work on while being pregnant for the second time and I am extremely proud of the art I did for it.

I am pleased to announce signing on with Writers House in January 2007.
Rebecca Sherman is now my agent and she will be handling all children's book contracts. For children's book inquiries please contact Rebecca at: 212.685.2400
or email: RSherman@WritersHouse.com

I will still be handling all other inquiries including editorial and private commissions.

December 2006 - Tot Stops won FIRST PLACE in the Brooklyn Library's annual Power Up Business Plan competition! Jessica Sequinot is managing all business aspects of the company, while I am the creative partner. Tot Stops features hip children's T-shirts with NYC destination illustrations taken directly from My Subway Ride and My Taxi Ride. I met Jessica in a mommies group when our children, Isaiah and Chloe were born (now 2 years old!) Our entrepreneurial creative spirits sparked the right combination for us to start a business and we became "mom-preneurs".  Check out these fabulous T's at: www.totstops.com

I am currently illustrating State Names, a picture book about the origin of the naming of the 50 States (plus D.C)  It is a 112 page book with Scholastic, due to be released in the Spring of 2008.
