School Visits & Workshops

...............................................................................................................................

Selina has been sharing her journey making books for children in schools, libraries, conferences, and at book festivals across America since she began publishing twenty years ago.

Selina's presentation is always changing because with each book she works on she has new experiences she wants to share. Naturally, she alters her presentation - or art-making workshop - depending on the age of the audience. She has collaborated with many organizations, including The Society of Illustrators, The Brooklyn Public Library, The DOE homeless afterschool program, An Open Book, The Brooklyn Book Bodega, and Behind the Book

Selina loves to travel, but nowadays, she is doing Zoom book readings, workshops, and virtual studio visits. She likes showing children, teens, and adults where she works, the supplies she uses, and the big messes she makes! Selina feels sharing a peek into her real-life way of working has been a 'pandemic silver-lining'.
